Factors Affecting Coffee Flavor

There are a ton of factors that affect how a coffee tastes, many of which are decided long before a consumer gets a bag in their hands. Variables such as climate, soil, altitude, processing, storage and roast level are just a few. What we will focus on here are the factors that the consumer can control. First is storage: from the time you get your coffee, it should be in a container that does not allow light in, that has a one way valve for carbon dioxide to escape and should be kept at room temperature. If you buy your coffee from Boss Batch, we have those first two things taken care of for you. This will slow down the staling process due to oxidation (more on this later).
